Construction Manager – Data Center Development - Permanent
Grand Rapids, MI – On-Site Position
Harper Harrison is partnered with a premier Data Center owner & developer, with locations across the nation including Grand Rapids, MI.
They are looking for talented individuals with Data Center and/or Mission Critical Construction/Project Management experience to join their business on a permanent basis as a Construction Manager/Assistant Construction Manager.
For the Assistant role, we require 3-5 years’ experience in Mission Critical Construction, and for the Construction Manager role we require 5+ years’ of Data Center Construction experience.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing & managing entire Project Lifecycle for Data Center Construction, from buyout through to warranty and close-out
- Ensuring safety compliance for the site and responsible for safety of Contractors
- Collaborate with the General Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Design firms and more to ensure project is to plan and on time
- Management of budget with Cost Control responsibilities, negotiating with Consultants, Cost Control team and Contractors without compromising Quality
- Navigate regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations, also secure relevant permits
Requirements
- Full Project Lifecycle experience in Data Center and/or Mission Critical Construction Projects
- Must have Tenant Improvement experience and ideally build-up Construction
- Experience managing Procurement & Submittals, also OSCI
- Experience producing For Permit & For Construction deliverables
- Ideally a degree in Engineering
